In her log house studio located in the idyllic countryside near Merrickville, Linda creates porcelain pots with an emphasis on tea sets and dinnerware. A professional potter for almost 30 years, Linda’s pots are committed to function, and yet remain visually beautiful.
Some pieces are carved with tools or individually decorated with oxides
on the glazes. More recently, she has employed a wax resist technique,
opening up an infinite range of patterns and combinations and requiring
considerable experimentation.
All her work is high-fired to 1,300 degrees C in a gas kiln, which greatly enhances the rich quality of a wide variety of glazes. All glazes are lead free and intended for daily use.
