Jeannette Froese Le Blanc, The Schoolhouse Studio
Jeannette and her husband Carl live in a little red schoolhouse on a
country road just outside of Merrickville. From there they operate a
small art studio. Jeannette draws her inspirations for her artwork
from the Canadian landscape. The rugged terrain, the bright sunsets,
the bounty of the water and even our cities provide wonderful creative
influences. Geometric buildings and city horizons inspire patterns in
the same way that a majestic old wind beaten pine can. After several
years of formal fine art training and painting the breathtaking scenes
around her while posted in the military in Northern Ontario,
Jeannette’s inspirations are evident in her carefully crafted silver
jewellery paired with colourful stones, in her pottery transformed by
fire and air, and also in her paintings.
