Canadian born, Brenda Carter is an award winning painter of Canada’s Natural Heritage. A long time resident of Merrickville, Ontario she has traveled and painted in the remote areas of the world, working on location in both acrylics and watercolours. Carter has spent endless hours in the field, tracking and observing birds and mammals around the world. These intense and varied experiences give her paintings great accuracy. More importantly, to her and to her collectors, the energy and life of the animals she paints shine back to us from her canvases. The first woman to receive both Ducks Unlimited and Wildlife Habitat Canada Waterfowl Art Awards, Brenda has spent over 30 years studying and painting in the field.
